It was my first time attended this festival. Anthusiasm of local people and international tourist was crazy. Lots of pople came to this festival for watched the buffalo racing. This festival celebrate once a year, especially to gather all of farmers at the local temple to offer alms to monks and to sell their produce to villagers and the people from the town. And this tradition became local festival that attract lots of people. The buffalo dressed up very well with flowers and before they raced, the buffalo wamed up by the fighter for running. The fighter will ride at the buffalo’s butt, and they will trigger the speed by hit the butt. I know, when I saw it, I was sad. But you should to see it to know whose the winner. The fighter will tried so hard so their buffalo can win, because it was so high prestige and the committe have prize for the winner.
Beside that, couple days before the event. The committee had competition for student in Chonburi to paint the buffalo’s statue. The student should use their creativity to make it not only beautiful but also unique. Because there was also prize for the winner. The student will tried very hard for it.
If you want to come this event, you should check their website to make sure the date of event. And after you finish watch it, you can go around the event. Because, there are lots of things that we can find, from food, cloths, toys, furniture etc. So this is very good opportunity to come this event and enjoy not only the buffalo racing but also the atmosphere of this festival.
