Hai everyone, it’s almost a school holiday, which means time to do refreshments for our body and soul. I would like to share my experience and recommend a place that is family-friendly or suitable for kids.
Jakarta Aquarium, West Jakarta, Indonesia
Located in Neo Soho Mall, West Jakarta, this place is currently a favorite spot for families. You can get here by car or public transportation such as TransJakarta - S.Parman Podomoro City. Once you arrived you can get in from the Central Park entrance lobby and go down to LG Floor and walk to the Neo Soho Mall (it connected each other). Last go up 1 to the LGM for the entranceway.
For the ticket price list, you can purchase on the spot or book online with entertainment commerce. The differences in each price are based on the attraction that you want to see, the day you come, and your age of yours. They didn’t give you a time limit to explore. So you can explore as much as you want. They open from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 - 21:00 with the last entry at 19:00.
Jakarta Aquarium is a big aquarium with various fish from all around the world. By visiting this place, you not only refresh and see the fish swimming, but also could learn where they are from, and their specialties. Besides that, this place offers attractions that you could try. From feeding animals, touching their body, until see mermaids. Yes! MERMAID! It’s a special attraction by a professional diver who has the license to swim like a mermaid and entertain us.
Once you enter the gate, you will be welcomed with the photo session, which you can purchase a hard copy of after the session. You will get the directory map to guide you to the places. There you will see various fishes from their categories (wild fish, cute fish, corals, and many more). There’re lots of activities you can explore inside.
For you a photo enthusiast, you can spot lots of captured moments there. Get along with the fish and you will get a great photo there. One thing you should remember is, that you can’t bring a camera professional inside, instead only a camera phone is allowed. Also, you can’t use a flashlight when capturing it, it may bother the fish.
